mission statement
Food not Bombs is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to nonviolence and the sharing of vegetarian meals with the hungry and the homeless. There are over 175 autonomous Food not Bombs chapters currently operating in the U.S. and throughout the globe.

Food not Bombs has no formal leaders and strives to include all working members in its decision-making process. We recover food that would otherwise be thrown out (excess produce, non-sellable items, day-old bread, muffins, and bagels, etc.) and use it in the preparation of fresh, hot vegetarian meals that we serve in city parks or downtown areas to anyone without restriction.

Miami Food not Bombs is committed to cultivating the Food not Bombs ethic here in south Florida. To do so, however, we require the assistance and cooperation of local businesses willing and able to donate whatever they can in the way of excess and non-sellable food items. If your business is interested in donating to Miami Food not Bombs, we will be more than happy to arrange regular daily or weekly pick-up times with you for whatever amount of food you can spare. We hope you will join us in taking direct action towards creating a world free from domination, coercion and violence.
